Visa Information

All Chinese citizens are required to have Schengen visas for travel to Iceland. When planning a trip to Iceland, Chinese citizens need to make sure that they have got valid schengen visa in advance. 

The Icelandic Embassy in Beijing only accepts applications from holders of diplomatic or civil passport  and family members of EU or EEA citizens. The Visa Section is available at Tel: +86-10-8531 6965, Fax: +86-10-6590 7801, E-mail: visa.beijing@utn.stjr.is

Other Chinese appliants can make visa applications at their convenience at one of the Icelandic Visa Centers in Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing and Xian. The Danish Visa Centers in Shanghai and Guangzhou can also accept applications for travel to Iceland.

Flight Info

There is no direct flight between China and Iceland. Nevertheless, with more and more Chinese travelling to Iceland in the past years, direct flight between the two counties is very likely soon.

At present, travellers from China to Iceland can arrive at Iceland on the same day via some major European cities, including Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Helsinki, London, Paris, Stockholm etc.  Many other major European cities also have direct flights to Iceland.

Iceland is well connected to many major cities in US and Canada visa the Icelandair network. Direct flight between Iceland and China can also greatly faciliate millions of travellers flying between China and the cities in the East coast of North America.
